چکیده:
Repentance is the first station of spiritual journeying (Sair o Soluk) and is one of the mystical terms that, in the form of the combination 'repenting at the hand of...', has found different functions and meanings over time, reflecting various aspects from the courts of kings to religious societies, government officials, and even in Maghan and Qalandari literature. Repentance has two aspects: internal and external. In the internal aspect, the penitent seeks forgiveness from God for the mistake they have committed and is regretful of their action, while God grants the success of repentance to the sinful servant. However, the external aspect is the manifested and passive form of the internal aspect. In this aspect, to restore status and repair social identity, the penitent legitimizes their repentance through action by referring to an acceptable personality and 'repents at the hand of' a Pir (spiritual guide), etc. In this article, the external aspect of repentance is examined and analyzed with an approach to the combination 'repenting at the hand of [= to]...', and the reflection of the aforementioned combination—from rituals to metaphorical expressions among Sufis, religious societies, government officials, Maghan literature, etc.—is also classified and analyzed. Additionally, rituals formed around the axis of 'at the hand of someone' are mentioned.

Thus, just as Jung believes that someone seeking mental health must be free of masks and become one with their true personality, Rumi, like a familiar wise elder, tells us: a rope that is two cannot pass through the eye of a needle: {Sبلبل با درخت گل گوید:چیست در دلت؟ S}(Molavi 1387, Vol. 1:185) In various parts of his ghazals, Rumi constantly criticizes those who are of duality, and presents himself as an example of someone who has driven dualities out of his existence: {Sدویی را چون برون کردم،دو عالم را یکی دیدم#یکی بینم،یکی جویم،یکی دانم،یکی خوانمS}(Ibid, Vol. 2:1375) Since Rumi has chosen to dwell in the ocean of Oneness (Ahad), he has abandoned dualities; beneath the ocean of Oneness, there is no hypocrisy: {Sکف همگی آب شود یا به کناری برود#زان که دورنگی نبود در دل بحر ابدیS}(Ibid:1184) B-Symbols that comprise the second category of the mask archetype 1-Concrete symbols 1-1-Rust and Corrosion Rust is a substance that settles on pure iron and gives it an artificial color, gives, in such a way that the iron body remains beneath the rust.
