خلاصه ماشینی:
While the law for targeting subsidies in Iran is implemented gradually, in stages, and in accordance with the social and economic realities of the country, and in order to prevent the negative consequences resulting from its implementation, the Iranian government has for a long time used three tools—price monitoring and determination, inspection and supervision, and efficient storage—for market management.
In total, reviewing the experience of the aforementioned countries regarding the removal of subsidies shows that the main reason for these countries to implement reform programs was that the high cost of general subsidies, given the population growth and the increase in the prices of goods and services in global markets, has significantly increased the financial burden on the government.
Preventing shortages in the market using storage and distribution tools in essential cases Since timely supply and distribution of goods and services is of particular importance for maintaining balance in the goods market and preventing crises, the Ministry of Commerce allocated 2000 billion Rials for the storage of goods by various agents to prevent any shortage in the market during the implementation of the Subsidy Targeting Law, and since the beginning of the year 1388, it has proceeded to store 22 items of vital goods in the urban and rural consumption basket.
Also, in order to prevent shortages of goods, the government signed a memorandum of understanding with production organizations so that during the implementation of the Subsidy Targeting Law, continuous production information from these units would be reported to the Ministry of Commerce.
