4 Strange Beautiful Causal Explanations In Anvari's Divan, verses are observed where, through their interpretation and a second reading of the meaning of the lines, a subtle 'husn ta'lil' is obtained; for example, the following interpretations can be made from the verses: the patron's enemy takes the form of two figures; the sun has emerged from the reflection of the patron's dagger; the sun and moon enter through a crevice to offer congratulations; the hoopoe has donned the hat and robe of a servant; the pomegranate's heart has split due to the calamity of the patron's fear; the patron's adversary is like a short-lived ember; the peri is the light of the patron's wisdom which cannot be seen; nature draws the waterfowl toward the patron; the weeping cloud is the lover of the patron; the sky is under the patron's hand, which does not scatter stars, and if it becomes an enemy against the patron, it has no power as it should scatter its stars as tribute to the patron; the morning breeze and refreshing water are the dust of the patron's path; the ring of the patron's tresses represents the grasp of the heavens upon the moon and sun; the sparks of the firmament and the dignity of the earth are indebted to the patron; the patron's affection and kindness are the source of blessing and glory, while his grudge and wrath cause suffering and humiliation, and prosperity and ruin depend on his grace and wrath.
