چکیده:
In order to define a pattern for knowledge management in research institutes to improve their performance, after studying the existing literature in this field, it was determined that there are three main perspectives regarding knowledge management and its position in organizations. One perspective looks at the concept of knowledge management as concepts such as transformational management and change management in organizations. The second perspective believes that in any area of organizations where the concept and position of information management is defined based on various models, including Porter's value chain model, it can be replaced with knowledge management. The third perspective views the concept of knowledge management from a systemic and strategic viewpoint. Based on the third perspective, knowledge management strategy is considered a functional strategy and is placed alongside other functional strategies. In this research, the concept of knowledge management from the perspective of the third viewpoint was considered, and after extensive studies in the literature related to the concept of knowledge management, this viewpoint was selected, and based on it, the conceptual model of the research was designed and proposed. The main hypothesis of the research is defined as follows: alignment between knowledge strategies, knowledge production and development, knowledge transfer, and knowledge application in research institutes, in accordance with the strategy of the research institutes, leads to the improvement of their performance. To test this hypothesis, the statistical population of research institutes affiliated with government organizations and institutions was considered, where comparing their performance with the level of alignment of the strategies adopted by them in the field of the knowledge management system and its subsystems could be a good basis for testing the research hypothesis. After selecting a representative sample of the statistical population, a questionnaire was designed and, after validity and reliability testing, it was made available to the member research institutes of the sample population. The questionnaire contained two categories of questions: one category consisted of closed-ended questions divided from 1 to 5 based on the Likert scale, and the answers provided in this part of the questionnaire formed the quantitative data for testing the hypothesis. The second group of questionnaire questions were open-ended questions, whose descriptive and detailed answers formed the qualitative data for testing the hypothesis. After distributing and collecting the questionnaires, the quantitative data were statistically analyzed using SPSS software. The qualitative data were also analyzed using the content analysis method and analyzed by defining a quantitative alignment index, and finally, statistical analysis was performed on them. The final result of both the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the collected data indicates the confirmation of the main hypothesis proposed in the research.
خلاصه ماشینی:
For testing this hypothesis, research institutes affiliated with government organizations and institutions were considered as the statistical population, where comparing their performance with the level of alignment of the strategies adopted by them in the field of the knowledge management system and its subsystems could serve as a good basis for testing the research hypothesis.
Based on these two dimensions, four specific types of strategies are defined for each of the elements of the proposed model for the knowledge management system, which, considering the results obtained from the Strategic Reference Points theory, will create strategic alignment among them and lead to the enhancement of organizational performance.
Based on the quantitative analysis of the data, it was determined that there is a significant relationship between the grade of the research institutes and their score with the number of congruent items in the knowledge management system strategies and, in addition, with the alignment index, and the hypothesis presented in this regard is not rejected at a 95 percent confidence level; meaning it was confirmed that the more research institutes acted in alignment regarding the selection of knowledge management system strategies and its sub-systems, the higher the grade and score they achieved.
The meaning of the aforementioned points is that in both cases, the main hypothesis of the research was not rejected and it was confirmed that there is a significant relationship between the level of strategic alignment of knowledge management strategies and its sub-systems with the performance of research institutes.
