Since it was impossible for the author to provide sufficient answers to each of them through conversation or correspondence, clarifying the subject matter every single time, and on the other hand, at that time he himself possessed nothing but meager and scattered knowledge of this dialect, therefore, in the summer of 1331, when he traveled to his birthplace, Tabriz, he decided to also visit the village of "Gelin Qiye," which is today the center of this dialect, to become acquainted with the people there firsthand and to produce a booklet from what he obtained from this dialect to publish in response to the questioners.
Fortunately, this task was completed successfully1 and the author was able, in a short period of time, to note down and collect a number of Harzandi words and sentences according to the method used in the book "Dialects of Vafas, Ashtian, and Tafresh.
Its water comes from qanats, and its products are wheat, barley, chickpeas, and some orchards.
The men of the village engage in farming and herding, while their women spend their days weaving kilims, socks, and sweatbands (arqchin), and felting.
