The present article, relying on the importance of "understanding nature" and "awareness" in defining the relationship of humans with nature and towards "identifying" the fundamental principles of environmental protection and preventing its destruction in Iranian culture, will attempt to analyze subjects related to the understanding of nature from two perspectives: the Iranian culture and "modern thinking," and finally, provide recommendations and suggestions in order to express the importance of the natural environment and ways to protect it in Iranian society.
In societies, religions, civilizations, and ancient thoughts, belief in the lawfulness of the universe, the importance of nature and natural elements, and the connection of natural phenomena with various material and spiritual aspects of human life has existed in various forms, examples of which can be observed in different lands (China, India, Iran, Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece).
