چکیده:
The aim of this study is to investigate the beliefs and values of families and textbooks regarding the subject of gender and its role in how gender equality issues are represented and solved by students; to this end, data regarding the subject of gender were collected through semi-structured interviews with 81 high school and pre-university third-year students and their families, as well as through content analysis of humanities textbooks (42 textbooks) from the high school and pre-university periods. Findings show that out of a total of 61 interviews conducted with students' parents (2 parents did not participate in the interview), there is alignment between the beliefs of the parents (father and mother) and the students in 21 cases. Content analysis of the textbooks also showed that the content of the textbooks is oriented towards reinforcing gender boundaries, but despite the common message of these books, students have different value approaches in solving the problem of gender equality.
