چکیده:
The story of Bahram Chobin is a historical event whose epic background has taken on a mythical color, and Iranian and Arab historians and writers, besides Ferdowsi in the Shahnameh, Dinawari (author of the literary work Nihayat al-Arab fi Akhbar al-Furs wa al-Arab), Yaqubi, Tabari (died 310 AH), Masudi, and Tha'alibi (died 429 AH) have mentioned this story. Since the writings of these authors regarding the life of Bahram Chobin derive from sources other than historical themes, based on different events and narratives, an epic story with mythological elements emerges, which became the subject of this story written by the famous Danish Iranologist Arthur Christensen, utilizing Persian and Arabic historical and literary sources. Christensen's captivating work on Bahram Chobin possesses the advantage of being translated by a worthy and scholarly translator, Dr. Manijeh Ahadzadegan Ahani, who has undertaken this task and, with a useful and instructive introduction, benefits the eager and interested reader with abundant insights.

It is no exaggeration to say that for nearly forty years we were waiting for the translation of this work by an Iranian scholar who himself had ties with the world of Orientalism: and this wait did not bear fruit; one must say from the bottom of the heart that we are now grateful to a scholarly, knowledgeable, and insightful lady who clearly possesses full awareness of the concepts of this book, which is evidently based on the valuable, epic, and mythical texts of the Persian and Arabic languages.
Zhaleh Amouzegar and the late Dr. Ahmad Tafazzoli and published by Nashr-e No. As a stroke of luck and due to the high value of the late author's works, several of Arthur Christensen's valuable works have been published in Persian: 'Kaveh the Blacksmith', which has been published by Tahouri Publications by the same scholar, Dr. Manijeh Ahadzadegan Ahni; 'Epic Poems and Fiction Literature among Iranians in Ancient Times'; 'Music in Sasanian Civilization'; 'Observations on the Jokes of Obaid Zakani'; 'The Deeds of Kings in Ancient Iranian Narratives'; 'A Sketch of the Motifs of Folk Tales'; 'The Sinful Creation in Iranian Narratives' (2535 / 1941), in which Christensen brilliantly demonstrates how very ancient elements of Iranian folk beliefs have remained intact within the framework of Islam until the present time; 'Several Observations on the Oldest Language of the Zoroastrian Religion' (1376); 'Researches on the Zoroastrian Religion of Ancient Iran' (1376); 'The First Chapter of Vendidad and the Early History of Iranian Peoples'...
