خلاصه ماشینی:
Herodotus's report can be summarized in seven points: 1-Diauku was the first lawgiver among the Median people and was famous for justice in judgment; 2-Diauku was the first king of Media; 3-Diauku prompted the Median people to move from village life to urban life and to build cities; 4-Diauku built for himself in the center of the city of Ecbatana the palace that was described above; 5-Diauku organized for himself a guard of the most select Median people; 6-Diauku established protocols for people to approach him; 7-Diauku had spies and informants everywhere to stay informed about the country's situation.
The second point, as it is also explained in the Shahnameh (Vol. 1, 30/10 onwards) like other Arabic and Persian sources, but is not mentioned in the Avesta or existing Pahlavi texts, is Hushang compelling the people to cultivate the land and domesticate animals.
If this report by Tha'alabi is authentic, then just as Hushang had received the title Hushang because of encouraging people to house-building and urbanization, he likely also had the title dehgan (Pahlavi dahiga?n, dehga?n) because of the works attributed to him in the field of agriculture; in this case, it is very probable that equating dehgan with Iranian and applying it to all Iranians, as has been used many times in the Shahnameh (for example, the footnote on dehgan in Wolff's dictionary), was originally derived from this very title dehgan applied to Hushang, from whom, according to Iranian myths, Iranians are descended.
