This act, from a military perspective, created an impression for the enemy that we would not be able to carry out large operations for a long time; however, the "Beit al-Moqaddas" operation was planned in a very sudden and surprising manner and began on the 10th of Ordibehesht.
However, we must accept that [since the army had not been fully reconstructed, a few unrighteous individuals who were still in the core of the army attempted to betray the country and follow the path of the enemy] The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had just been established and had more of a cultural role than that of a regular military unit; meaning, we truly did not have the readiness for war, especially a full-scale war.
We did not have military equipment like the enemy, and on the other hand, we did not have international support; in the war, our reliance was on the faith of the people, and all the people had trust in the Imam and the war officials, and it was because of this trust that they sent their youth to the fronts.
This means that, in reality, it was Divine grace and kindness that allowed our combatants to prevail over their enemies, and naturally, as I mentioned in creating this atmosphere, devotion (Velayat-madari) played an important role.
After Operation Beit al-Moqaddas, which marks the beginning of the onslaught against our martyrs, they said: This was not a Holy Defense war at all.
