Unity and union are among the important and fundamental goals of the Quran, which have been addressed many times, such as the verse: كانَ الناسُ اُمَّةً واحِدَةً 3 They also call the companionship of nations with each other Islamic cohesion. Differences in some matters of belief and legal rulings (Ahkam), which are the result of ijtihad and scientific research, should not cause the separation and distancing of Muslim nations; and while the thinkers of various schools, in the arena of debate and reasoning to realize the truth, present evidence, they must in the sphere of social life, taking into account the interests of the entire Islamic Ummah, adopt special measures. This designation, which is a turning point for the message of the Islamic Revolution to the Islamic world, presents Iran's pioneering role in shaping cohesion and unity with Muslim nations and strives to make the Islamic Ummah aware that they bear an important mission, a mission whose main foundation rests on preserving unity, and they must exert all their efforts in this regard. One of the most important of these treaties was the first contract concluded between the Noble Prophet (PBUH) and the clans and tribes existing in Yathrib during the very first months of the Prophet's arrival 1 which can be said that this measure was the best mechanism for creating national unity and religious solidarity, because it guaranteed the rights of many other sects and schools of thought.
