چکیده:
This study examines some of the social backgrounds of anomie among pre-university students in Ramhormoz County. Anomie is a situation in which, under certain conditions, an individual feels normlessness, referring to a type of disorder between the individual and institutions. Out of 907 male and female students in three fields—mathematics, experimental sciences, and humanities—270 were selected as a sample, and information was collected through a researcher-made questionnaire. The relationship of some social backgrounds among students, including gender, academic success, economy, satisfaction with social status, hope for the future, and trust in officials, was investigated as independent variables. For data analysis, multivariate regression was used after descriptive statistics. The research findings, after examining the relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable (anomie), showed a relationship between gender and anomie; anomie among boys is higher than among girls. A subtle point is that given the characteristics of youth, it was expected that subjective factors such as the level of satisfaction with social position and hope for the future would have a greater effect on anomie than objective factors. However, the hypothesis regarding the relationship between economic status and anomie was not confirmed. In other words, respect for youth and paying attention to them is more important to them. Other findings show the relationship between academic success and anomie, and the inverse relationship between trust in officials and anomie. According to the multivariate regression, the variable of the level of hope for the future has the greatest impact on the level of anomie and explains 30 percent of the variance of the dependent variable.
