Introduction The philosophy of the mission of divine prophets is fundamentally based on reason and intellect, and it has a rational origin and foundation, which is indeed bringing human beings to true perfection and real felicity. The Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) praise the role of reason, thinking, and human intellect, addressing those possessed of wisdom and thought, and they condemn and reproach those who do not employ their reason and are heedless of perceiving the truth. Of course, the true religion is that which has come from God. 6 The Necessity of the Existence of Religion The Holy Quran has recounted the value of reason in many instances and calls humans to contemplation, but in many other instances, it has also emphasized the necessity of the existence of revelation due to the insufficiency of reason. (Nisa:164-165) These verses clearly convey the insufficiency of reason for the guidance of man; because if reason were sufficient, God, by granting it, would have completed the proof against mankind, there would have been no need to send prophets, and the opportunity for people to argue on the Day of Judgment would remain. We establish the truthfulness of Sharia and the principles of religion through the judgment of reason. 32 *Conclusion The Holy Quran, by establishing a strong bond between religion and reason, invites humans to rationalization and thinking, and opens the gates of exploration and thought before reason.
