خلاصه ماشینی:
In the Christian world, the trend was even worse and more regrettable; because institutional Christianity, due to distortion in beliefs and rulings and even at the highest religious and creedal levels—namely Monotheism—has manifested in an ominous and polytheistic form called 'the Trinity,' which is fundamentally not provable or defensible through reason and rational arguments; consequently, it rejected reason and intellect and turned to experience and inner intuition to understand and comprehend the complex and incomprehensible issue of 'the Trinity.
In further explaining the role of reason in religion and also its relationship with religion, it must be said: pure reason—reason— free from any internal deficiency and flaw and from satanic desires—is proposed as an independent source in proving some religious propositions and issues, as well as in discovering the rulings of the branches of jurisprudence, alongside the two other sources, namely the Book and the Sunnah; in this sense, in Islam, neither is reason accepted as the sole source of knowing religion and religious matters, nor is it generally considered to lack validity and value; rather, the initial proof and recognition of some religious teachings, such as proving the existence of God and some of His attributes, proving the necessity of accepting religion, the indication of a miracle of the truthfulness of the prophet, and so on, is not possible except through pure reason, and if religion has something to say in these areas, it is based on a rational ruling and is guidance toward a rational ruling.
