By: Manouchehr Mohseni The Issue of Professor-Student Relations Every day, we witness the creation and development of universities and higher education institutions throughout the country; institutions that bear the grave responsibility of training Iran's specialized human resources—specialists who are trained at great expense and must be nurtured in a way that society can make proper use of their existence.
In universities or these centers, specialized human resources are produced who become the scientific and research symbols of any country's future; for this reason, we recognize the precious status and importance of university professors and their grave duties—professors who serve as the scientific and practical role models for the youth of this land.
An individual who outwardly adopts the noble name of the professor but seeks the ultimate goal of his ambitions in material benefits and objectives, while being oblivious to the scientific spirituality required by the position of professorship, cannot be a good model for a young, inexperienced student who is mentally ready to receive new moral values.
One of the fundamental issues of education in most countries, especially Iran, is the lack of passion and habit for study, research, and scientific thinking in individuals.
This is why we are inevitably faced with this grave matter in the university; a student who enters the university and attends classes must, from the very beginning, engage in additional study and research regarding the course materials, and for such a habit to develop in them, they must have previously understood the full benefits of such a sacred goal.
