The present article has been written to examine the Living Spirit, which is one of the deities of the second stage of creation in Manichaeism. The Living Spirit plays an extraordinary and central role in the myths related to cosmogony (creation) and the knowledge of the end of the world from the perspective of Mani. In these Manichaean myths, the influence of ancient Iranian beliefs on Manichaean thoughts can be observed. The research method in this discourse is library-based and documentary, and the collected information has been described, classified, and analyzed after being compared with ancient Iranian myths.
