For example, sources such as the Siyasatnameh of Khwaja Nizam al-Mulk Tusi, Nasihat al-Muluk by Ghazali, Gulistan by Saadi, Kalila and Dimna by Nasrallah Munshi, Qabusnameh by Anushtegin Kay Kaous ibn Voshmgir, Khradnameh, and Javidan Khrad Abu Ali Miskawayh, Nowruznameh of Khayyam Nishaburi, Marzban-nameh of Sa'd al-Din Waravini, and the prose and verse Shahnamehs, especially the masterpiece of the sage of Tus, Ferdowsi, demonstrate that the culture and political thought of ancient Iran were able to be preserved in books through significant works produced in the early Islamic centuries.
