چکیده:
The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of group training using behavioral and cognitive-behavioral methods on the self-esteem of dormitory students at Isfahan University. To achieve this goal, 30 dormitory students were selected through voluntary sampling and were randomly assigned to three groups (two experimental groups and one control group). The experimental groups separately received 8 sessions of cognitive-behavioral and behavioral self-esteem training. The tool for this research is the Ellis Pope Self-Esteem Scale, which has been confirmed for reliability and validity. The results of the analysis of variance indicate the effectiveness of different training methods and

Table 1-Research Design (Refer to the page image) Statistical Population and Sampling Method The statistical population of this research included all female students in the Isfahan University dormitory (2352 persons) in the academic year 18-28.
Table 5-Multivariate analysis of variance related to the effect of therapeutic methods on self-esteem (Refer to the page image) 0/0000-Significance level 2-Degrees of freedom As can be inferred from Table 5, both behavioral and cognitive-behavioral educational methods were effective in increasing the self-esteem of female students, but it does not specify which one has a greater effect on the two mentioned variables; therefore, to determine this issue, the LSD follow-up test was used, the results of which are presented in Table 6.
Table 6-Follow-up test to examine the differences between multiple self-esteem means (Refer to the page image) Based on Table 6, it is concluded that the cognitive-behavioral method was more effective in increasing the self-esteem of female students than the behavioral method, and there is a significant difference between the behavioral and cognitive-behavioral methods.
Research results showed that cognitive-behavioral and behavioral training increases students' self-esteem, which is consistent with the research of Ellis Pope, Kahn, Spearman, and Hashemi.
