چکیده:
Over the past twenty years, the national university entrance exam in Iran has been the most important indicator for evaluating the secondary education period and the sole determining factor for university admission. This exam, which is conducted synchronously across the country every year, is considered one of the life-changing exams due to its extensive nature and the importance its results hold for participants. The importance of such exams for society, the necessity of ensuring the validity of their results, and their use on large population scales, necessitates the establishment of appropriate and uniform conditions for participants, based on valid scientific standards and criteria in the administration of these types of exams. Accordingly, any obstacle in the emergence of the abilities of participating individuals and any factor disrupting the uniform administration of the exam are considered threats to the validity of life-changing exams. The purpose of conducting this research is to investigate the conditions of holding national university entrance exam sessions by measuring participant satisfaction, as a preliminary step toward test standardization. The sample of this research consisted of 2531 participants (1643 girls and 888 boys) from Tehran in the national exam, who were selected from the population of candidates who had visited the centers for distributing national exam report cards. The present research is applied and survey-based. The main statistical method for data analysis is factor analysis. In this research, a researcher-made questionnaire was used. The results of the research show that candidate satisfaction with the exam session is influenced by seven factors, which in order of importance are: session tranquility, session environmental conditions, location and equipment for candidate placement, information dissemination before and during the exam, candidate guidance, exam difficulty, and the candidate's level of prior preparation. The sum of these factors provides a basis for standardizing exam sessions, and each of them contains important details for improving the conduct of the national exam and practical and noteworthy points for all individuals who deal with exam sessions and evaluation in some way.

Some researchers have identified two important sources threatening the validity and reliability of high-stakes tests: the level of participants' prior readiness and the conditions of test administration, both of which affect individual performance and, ultimately, the interpretation of test results (Halliday et al.
