The present article discusses the concept of revolution within the framework of different theories, including: Marxist, functionalist, Islamic, etc. In this writing, the author seeks to analyze the theoretical foundations of this subject from the perspective of Martyr Bahonar by providing a concept of revolution. Accordingly, this writing has conducted investigations into how the Islamic Revolution was formed in Iran from different viewpoints, so that ultimately, the author, based on these sensitivities, seeks to contemplate the foundations of Martyr Bahonar's thought regarding the revolution and to understand well which philosophical and intellectual school the thinking of this great martyr falls within. In a part of this article, he refers to theories such as: conspiracy theory, modernization theory, economic theory, religion theory, and finally to synthetic theories regarding revolution; after detailed explanation of these theories, he addresses the intellectual foundations of Martyr Bahonar in the form of the revolution and its characteristics, and finally concludes that in the discussion of the concept of revolution, this great martyr, influenced by the intellectual and spiritual school of Islam, engages in defining and praising the phenomenon of revolution.

» (6) While referring to various views regarding the analysis of the Islamic revolution of Iran, he believes that Islam begins fundamental transformation through the change and revolution in the character of individuals; meaning it first makes the people revolutionary, Muslim, and committed, and after creating these transformations in the soul, ethics, and temperament of the people, naturally, transformations also occur in the social, economic, military, and political systems of society.
