Agriculture is one of the fundamental pillars of Iran's economy. The development of agriculture is not possible without empowering and managing human resources in this sector. One of the problems in the agricultural sector in recent years is facing the phenomenon of aging and the increase in the average age of farmers. Therefore, a fundamental challenge for agricultural planners is finding ways to attract, train, and bring young forces into this sector. Since women have played and continue to play important roles in the agricultural sector, their place cannot be ignored. A dynamic agricultural sector must be able to simultaneously utilize the capacities of young male and female human resources. Given the lack of interest among young people in accepting agricultural jobs, this research was conducted under the title 'Investigating factors affecting the motivation of rural girls in Kermanshah to participate in agricultural activities.' To this end, using a stratified random sampling method, 187 rural girls from 6 districts and 11 villages of the county were selected and interviewed. This study showed that the motivation of rural girls to participate in agricultural activities is at a moderate level. Based on regression analysis, 21 percent of the changes in the dependent variable, i.e., motivation, are explained by 5 variables, the most important of which is the level of participation in agricultural affairs. The education level of mothers has a negative impact on the motivation of girls.
