چکیده:
The present research was conducted with the aim of identifying the most important environmental, internal, and outcome barriers to organizational entrepreneurship in the aforementioned university. In this regard, the entrepreneurship barrier model applicable to non-profit organizations was used. The independent variables effective in three categories of barriers include: environmental barriers including lack of competition, lack of policy-making authority, and mission determination by managers, the presence of multiple stakeholder groups; obvious internal barriers including: inappropriate decisions of top management in the appointment and selection of managers, lack of sufficient delegation of authority to subordinate managers, and duality and number of goals; and outcome barriers which include socio-cultural variables, traditional definition of success, the possibility of continuing organizational activities despite inefficiency, and frequent management changes in short periods of time. The type of research is applied and uses descriptive and correlational methods. In data collection, questionnaires and interviews were used, and in data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics were employed. The statistical population of the research consisted of 87 heads, vice-presidents, and university managers, of whom 64 responded to the sent questionnaire. According to the research findings, internal barriers had the greatest negative impact on creating organizational entrepreneurship at Mazandaran University. Environmental barriers in this field had the least inhibitory role at Mazandaran University. Among the internal barriers, inappropriate decisions of top managers in the appointment and selection of subordinate managers, among the outcome barriers, the socio-cultural variable, and among the environmental barriers, the lack of competition, had the greatest negative impact on university entrepreneurship. Additionally, it is suggested that wider research be conducted regarding other universities to increase the validity of the research results.
