Golestan of Iran, 11 and 18/6/81 Abstract: Mr. Malekian refers to two types of rationality, theoretical and practical, and states that theoretical rationality is involved in the realm of adopting opinions and views, while practical rationality is related to the stage of action and decision-making.
First, I will address the components of theoretical rationality: The first component of theoretical rationality is that in the realm of belief, opinion, and view, we should behave in such a way that, as far as we can, we do not fall into contradiction and, as far as we can, we do not disregard logical rules.
The second component of theoretical rationality is that a person should consider the rules of mathematics to be valid.
This is contrary to rationality; because empirical sciences are neutral knowledges; meaning they are not sciences that are supporters of a specific school or doctrine.
The sixth type is a rationality in which the individual, regarding what they have found through their own investigation to be certain science, found to be certain, does not abandon it because of what others say; meaning, if I myself have found something, I do not give up my findings because of what others say.
This requirement is a type of rationality; because if we speak in any other way, we have made a claim that is beyond our ability, and such a claim is a claim of playing God; a claim that no human being can make.
Mr. Malekian has said: "The sixth type of rationality is such that an individual should not abandon what they have found to be certain knowledge through their own investigation because of things others say.
