In the present writing, initially, the history of poetry and its compilation is discussed, stating that poetry is part of human nature. Then, the difference between poetry and prose is explained, and verses related to poetry and poets are mentioned. While categorizing these verses, the opinions of Shia and Sunni commentators are presented. Finally, the claim is proven by citing verses and traditions, and in conclusion, the position of poets is discussed in terms of negation and affirmation with regard to the noble verses of the Quran, and the psychological desirability of poetry is addressed.
