چکیده:
The Holy Quran is the most authoritative document available for deriving jurisprudential rulings; however, jurisprudential verses, like other verses, have encountered conflicting interpretations and understandings. Azizeh Hebri is a prominent American Muslim thinker and an innovator of the Islamic-Quranic feminism theory. She has challenged the views of Islamic scholars regarding the 'darb' (striking) of women in verse 34 of Surah An-Nisa and has presented entirely different theories. Therefore, this research, using a descriptive-analytical method, aims to answer the question: What is Azizeh Hebri's perspective on the interpretation of 'darb' of women in verse 34 of Surah An-Nisa? The most important critiques of her views and arguments are as follows: 1- Accepting 'darb' as a sign of male gender superiority over women does not constitute shirk (associating partners with God), 2- Striking women does not conflict with honoring them in the Prophetic Hadiths (PBUH), 3- Accepting a change in the ruling of the 'darb' clause in the verse requires extensive ijtihad against the text, 4- Obedience to the husband within the framework of Sharia is essentially obedience to God, 5- A woman's obedience to her husband regarding marital matters is obligatory, and based on various reasons, interpreting the striking of a woman during the commission of indecency is incorrect.

3. The reason for the legislation of the ruling and the role of time and place in understanding the striking of women Aziza Hibri believes that even assuming the acceptance of the patriarchal interpretation of the discussed passage, its subject matter is void in the times after its revelation; to explain, according to Aziza Hibri, the correct understanding of Islamic-Quranic educational rulings depends on identifying the reason for their legislation, which, with the gradual change of causes, legal laws and consequently the educational principles resulting from them, also undergo transformation (Hibri, 2000, p.
