Sira writing was shaped by the Ahl al-Hadith using the specific principles of the Medina school to employ the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) as a model for Muslims. In this article, while referring to the reasons for prohibiting the writing of Hadith after the passing of the Prophet (PBUH), the manner in which Sira writing began and a brief description of the pioneers in this field in the Medina school are presented using a new classification through a descriptive-analytical method.

According to al-Waqidi, he held a study circle in Medina in the Prophet's Mosque, alongside Ibrahim and Muhammad ibn Uqba, 8 and he narrated more Hadith and issued more fatwas than others.
Ibn Ishaq acquired knowledge from Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri and Asim ibn Amr ibn Qatadah, listened to the Maghazi books of Urwa ibn al-Zubayr, Abdullah ibn Ka'b, and also Wahb ibn Munabbih, and in addition to his own, he listened to and collected hadiths and reports from the tongues of famous narrators and those who had connections with the companions and followers close to the Prophet (s).
