Imamate and Wilayah are among the main pillars of the religion of Islam, especially the Shia school of thought, in which numerous verses and narrations have emphasized their necessity and the worthiness of the Ahl al-Bayt for this position. In the path of their mission, the Ahl al-Bayt and their family have exerted special efforts in preserving and protecting this high status and defending it. Hazrat Zeinab, the scholar and the noble lady of Banu Hashim, has also, in her own turn, made immense efforts in guarding the Wilayah and Imamate and has carried out many actions in this regard. This article aims to, while briefly explaining the position of Imamate and Wilayah and its place in the religion of Islam, examine and explore the manner and extent of Hazrat Zeinab's attention and endeavor in defending this high status.

In such circumstances, when Imamate and Wilayah were being consigned to oblivion in the belief of the masses, Imam Husayn (AS) and his family, especially Lady Zaynab al-Kubra (SA), undertook the defense of this important principle to preserve its position, which was the legacy of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
(Ibn Tawus, 1381, 157) Lady Zaynab also sacrificed her two children on the day of Ashura for the path of her Imam and Master (Qummi, 1386, 246 and 247) to show that in the path of Imamate and Wilayah, she had placed her entire life on the platter of sincerity.
(Ibn Tawus, 1385, 201) Lady Zaynab al-Kubra (SA) in her sermons repeatedly referred to the issue of Imamate and Wilayah and deemed its preservation and protection necessary.
(Javadi, 1360, 160) Lady Zaynab (SA) made the people of Kufa and Sham understand that the leadership of Islam was in the hands of a deviant individual and an impure family and the position of Imamate and Wilayah is worthy of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
Zaynab's (SA) mission in defending the status of Imamate and Wilayah was manifested in the event of Ashura and thereafter.
