چکیده:
Problem Statement: In this article, the process of social capital formation in a sample of students is investigated. The empirical model used in this article is based on the premise that individuals use two sources, identity and knowledge, as necessary but not sufficient resources for the formation of social capital, and these resources will lead to the formation of social capital only when they are converted into trust, norms, and networks. Thus, in this research, we seek to answer the question of which of their knowledge or identity resources individuals use to form social capital. Method: The research method in this article is questionnaire-based and survey-based, and the study sample consists of 199 students from the Faculty of Economics, University of Isfahan. Findings: Since social capital in Iran is mostly based on identity resources, in addition to strengthening causal tools based on identity resources, more attention should be paid to the formation of causal tools through knowledge resources in society. Results: In the studied sample, the results indicate the reality that identity resources have had a significant and positive effect on the formation of social capital, while this hypothesis does not hold much strength regarding knowledge resources. In this sample, men also had higher social capital compared to women.
خلاصه ماشینی:
The empirical model used in this article is based on the premise that individuals use two sources, identity and knowledge, as necessary but not sufficient resources for the formation of social capital, and these resources will lead to the formation of social capital only when they are converted into trust, norms, and networks.
As previously stated, Figure (1) shows that the existence of identity and knowledge sources (social capital sources) does not necessarily mean that the cooperation of society members will increase; rather, the connecting link between social capital sources and the process of its formation includes another set of variables that are referred to as causal tools (norm, trust, and network).
That which shapes the mindset of individuals in terms of internal values, namely the sources of identity and knowledge, are actually the sources of social capital; although their existence potentially creates the capability for forming social capital in a society, the actualization of this capability requires tools such as norms, trust-based relationships, and finally, the formation of social networks.
Through a cross-sectional study of 63 countries in the world, he concludes that there is a positive and significant relationship in the studied sample between the trust index (social capital) and years of schooling (human capital), as well as between the trust index and per capita income level (economic growth).
Therefore, it can be concluded that in the considered sample, there is a positive and significant relationship between the level of individuals' adherence to religion and the human capital accumulated in the family with their level of trust in the people around them.
