Alongside these relationships, the interaction between globalization and postmodern concepts has contributed to the complex interaction of economy and culture, making it very difficult for Islamic countries to prioritize one economic or cultural factor over the other. It is worth mentioning that the main focus of this discussion in the aforementioned book is to understand and comprehend the position of Islamic issues (in their entirety) in the era of globalization and the fluid space of postmodernism. Islamic culture in Western political and social studies has been discussed and examined in two ways: On one hand, Islamic culture has not yet properly aligned with the consequences of modernity. If we place this discussion alongside the increasing importance of non-Western cultures and lifeworlds due to postmodernist thoughts, the necessity of studying the book "Islam, Globalization and Postmodernism" will become clear. The extent of coverage that Western media has provided regarding the developments in Islamic countries is such that today terms like fatwa, jihad, Ayatollah, mogul (meaning a powerful person and especially referring to commercial giants (selugom)), and harim regarding sexual restrictions and the exploitation of women have become familiar terms in the English language. This axis refers to the discussion of Muslim migrants seeking work in Western countries.
