چکیده:
The issue of abortion on a wide and extensive scale is among the issues that are the product of scientific, social, cultural, economic, and political developments, and has a close connection with population explosion, resource limitations, human rights, women's rights and freedoms, the interests of states, and ultimately the interests of human society. The widespread presentation of views by experts and thinkers in favor of the unconditional permissibility of abortion influenced many governments in the second half of the twentieth century, which has resulted in millions of fetuses being legally eliminated every year. The Islamic world, while being realistic, considers abortion to be forbidden and illegitimate based on Islamic principles. Imami jurisprudence, with clear-sightedness and firm foundations, has faced this social dilemma and, although it has deemed abortion permissible in some cases, it opposes its unconditional permissibility.
خلاصه ماشینی:
From the perspective of Imami jurists, the fetus is a respected being, and its abortion, except in cases where it is recognized as permissible through secondary rulings, is forbidden and illegitimate at any stage, based on the Book, Sunnah, reason, and consensus; because the Imami Shiite has given such importance to human life that it has surpassed all the boundaries where the jurists of Islamic schools of thought have stopped.
From the perspective of Imami jurisprudence, despite respecting the rights and freedoms of women within the limits of Sharia standards and regardless of what the origin of the woman's pregnancy was and what her motive for abortion is, considering that fundamentally from the time of the establishment of the zygote, abortion is forbidden, and before the breathing in of the soul, abortion has been considered permissible only based on a serious reason, such as severe hardship, and after the breathing in of the soul, according to the view of the famous Imami jurists, it is absolutely not permissible, and according to some, it is only permissible in cases where the mother's life is in danger under certain conditions, abortion solely based on the woman's desire and request, and only to observe her freedom and right of choice, is not considered a strong reason and cannot be deemed legitimate.
