Text of the speech by Mr. Iftikhar Ali regarding the United Nations and the fight against racial discrimination On the eve of March 1st (February 28th), the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, at the invitation of the University's Office of Public Relations and International Affairs, Mr. Iftikhar Ali (1) , Head of the United Nations Information Center in Tehran, delivered a speech titled "The United Nations and the Fight against Racial Discrimination" during his visit to Mofid University. After the speech ceremony, he attended a gathering with Master's students of International Law at Mofid University and discussed some issues related to the United Nations. The aforementioned fund, which is the result of the voluntary efforts of the United Nations journalists group, provides scholarships to young journalists from third-world countries so they can prepare news and reports from the annual General Assembly sessions and send them to their countries. Dear students, respected professors, before I speak about the subject of my speech, I would like to briefly tell you about the "United Nations Information Center" and what we do there. During this meeting, His Eminence, while stating the goals and motivations for establishing Mofid Quds-sara University, emphasized the necessity for academics and seminary students to pay attention to the problems of Islamic societies and to find solutions consistent with the Holy Sharia, and then answered the questions of those present.
