Introduction Blessed be that auspicious night when, at the residence of His Eminence Ayatollah Haj Seyyed Mohammad Ali Roudati, a soul-nourishing gathering of knowledge was held, and we had reached his grace-bestowing presence along with a group of people of virtue, research, and the pen, who had come from the holy city of Qom to Isfahan to participate in the commemoration symposium of Allameh Mohammad Baqer Majlisi. He, too, writes this thought-provoking story in verse and prose in praise of Allameh Majlisi (1) , and it is this very outpouring of his pen that is in hand today, named the Panegyric of Allameh Majlisi; and through the mediation of His Eminence Ayatollah Roudati, a transcription of it has been prepared in a small number of copies and presented to people of virtue and knowledge. A man whom many of the world's religious people remember with the title of the greatest reviver of Shia Hadith and one of the unparalleled and successful promoters of the Imamiye (2) , using expressions such as the unique one of the age, the diver of the seas of divine truths, the clarifier of complex issues of Sharia, the collector of all goodness and virtues, the divine scholar, the servant of the traditions of the Imams (peace be upon them), the Seal of the Traditionists, the collector of rational and transmitted sciences, the revealer of the apparent and hidden truths of the Quran, and the foremost of the predecessors and successors (3) .
