This general understanding of the meaning of terminology was found on the pages of the Urdu dictionary, where the Arabic word moved into this new environment, carrying with it its original linguistic meaning and its technical meaning, in addition to the new meanings added to it. This approach in usage came accompanied by the technical meaning and appeared clearly in the understanding of the term's significance among the speakers of this language, which led them to attribute this terminology to the people of these crafts, such as the linguist, the grammarian, the morphologist, the rhetorician, the jurist, and the legal scholar11; for in the entry (Nahw/Grammar), this dictionary mentioned more than seventeen linguistic meanings, including: the path, the way, the direction, the point, the orientation, the destination, the tendency, the habit, the formula, the form, the attire, the pattern... This expansion in the concept of Nahw (Grammar) was known to Arabic13; however, in "mentioning a set of linguistic meanings exceeding sixteen meanings, including price and cost, movement and change, and substitution," it nonetheless assigned another field to this terminology, which is the study of the origin of words and their history, and what relates to the rules and roots of the word and the conjugation of verbs, placing it within a circle that includes both sciences together, which is (Grammar)14. And the terminology of 'Al-Ism' (the noun) has a large share throughout the pages of this dictionary, as it expanded upon its concept starting from the general meaning of the noun in Arabic grammar; since it is in words that denote themselves without being coupled with a tense"30.
