خلاصه ماشینی:
"This study has done research on the cultural belief of teachers in both schools and language institutes in Iran using a questionnaire.
Both groups of teachers were found to believe in the interdependence of language and culture with no significant difference between them.
In addition both groups of teachers tried to convey the culture of the foreign language to their students.
As the results of the Chi-square analysis shows there is no significant difference between the beliefs the teachers of schools and institutes hold with regard to the interdependence of learning culture and language.
Both groups of teachers show the same degree of awareness of culture and are similar in striving to convey culture to their students while teaching language.
Discussion The results of this research shows that teachers of both groups demonstrate an understanding of the interdependency of culture and language and besides they also try to convey the foreign culture in their classrooms, or at least they try to give examples of it.
It would be wise to remember that the context of language learning in schools and institutes is different in Iran and even though the teachers are similar in their views and understandings of culture, the books that are used by these two groups are different; therefore, there may be a difference in the content conveyed to the learners.
One group is studying books written and designed by the Ministry of Education in Iran and the other group of books is those written by English authors and published by Oxford University Press."
