چکیده:
آغاز تجربه حکومت گرجیان خوزستان به زمان شاه صفی (1052 - 1038 ه.ق) بر می گردد. در زمان شاه صفی حکومت خوزستان
به واخوشتی خان یکی از غلامان خاصه شاه صفی، که از مقام غلام خاصگی به بیگلربیگی ارتقا یافته بود، رسید. انتصاب
واخوشتی خان به حکومت شوشتر مرکز ولایت خوزستان نمونه ای از ظهور حکمرانی جدید ناشی از سیاست های اتکا بر نیروی
سوم دولت صفوی بود که در وضعیت سیاسی، اجتماعی و اقتصادی ولایات تحت حاکمیتشان تحولات مشهودی به بار آوردند.
خاندان واخشتوی با ابراز وفاداری به خاندان صفوی و تلاش در راستای تحکیم این رابطه توانستند در دربار صفوی ترفیع مقام
پیدا کنند. این خاندان بادرایت توانستند از شوشتر و دزفول به خوبی حراست کنند به گونه ای که حکومت گرجیان در شوشتر حدود
120 سال، یعنی تا دوره زندیه تداوم پیدا کرد. در این نوشتار با روش توصیفی تحلیلی و تکیه بر منابه کتابخانه ای نقش و جایگاه
واخوشتی خان و فرزندان و نوادگانش در مقام حکمرانان گرجی خوزستان و پیامدهای سیاسی، اجتماعی و اقتصادی حضور آنها در
این قلمرو بررسی شد. بر اساس نتایج پژوهش خاندان واخوشتی توانستند تجربه نسبتا موفقی از حکمرانی پایدار عرضه کنند که
آبادانی و رفاه در سطح اجتماعی و اقتصادی و امنیت و تداوم حکومت در سطح سیاسی مهمترین دستاوردهای آن بودند.
The first experience of Georgians government in Khuzestan province goes back to the
period of Shah Safi. At the time of Shah Safi, Khuzestan government was given to Vakhushti
Khan who had been promoted from slavery to Beglerbegi( which literary means Commander of
Commanders). The appointment of Vakhushti Khan as Shushtar governor, the seat government
of Khuzestan province, was an example of the new way of ruling based on Third Power that led
to evident developments in the socio-political and economic condition under their government.
Vakhushti dynasty, through showing their loyalty to the Safavid dynasty and consolidation of their
relations with the Safavid rulers, could promote in the Safavid court. This capable family protected
Shushtar and Dezful very well in a way that Georgian government lasted around 120 years till
the rise of the Zands. This paper, through a descriptive-historical study and based on the library
resources, will examine the role and position of Vakhushti Khan, his children and great children as
the governors of Khuzestan and the socio-political and economic consequences of their presence
in this territory. According to this survey, the Vakhushti dynasty could show a quite good experience
of stable ruling in Khuzestan province that led to the prosperity and well-being in the social and
economic level and the security and continuity of government in the political level.
