The Mosuli author 'Imad Deen Khaleel (the teacher of
Islamic History) has been chosen to be the subject of this research
due to the coherent artistic techniques that characterize his novel"
The Sword And The Word " as well as the amount of
experimentation the novel practices without touching the artistic
requirements of the fictional structure. The place in this novel was
characterized by being one of the pivots of the narrative space
where the time is perfected to the extent that the latter is condensed
into the former, such that Baghdad appeared as a theater of events
preparing for the horror of the Mongolian invasion as well as its
neighborhoods, schools, roads, bridges, markets, playfields and its
stores…etc.
Therefore, this research emerged through analyzing the
texts of the novel relying on the contrary dualisms in order to show
the artistic and the aesthetic vision of the fictional text and to
vision the significances that resulted from them.
The research included an introduction and three topic. The
introduction of the concept of the vision place. Topic one of the
horizontal and vertical vision, topic two from the whole to the part,
vision from the part to the whole. Topic three from the fragmental
vision, scenery fiction and inclusive vision.
