Ecocide is defined as severe, widespread and long- time destruction of the environment which will lead to disasterous and severe results such as plant and animal species extinction, compulsory emigration and lack or reduction of peaceful joy of the lives of the habitants of a land. This article is intended to explain the legal nature of ecocide (crimes against environment). Methodology: This article has been written based on documents and is of descriptive- analytical type.
