According to the fact that Shirin's appearance in historical sources is different from his fictional appearance, in this article we have first discussed how his place and homeland are in ancient Persian, Syriac, Roman and Armenian sources; In sources such as Tarikh Balami and Shahnameh, Shirin is Khosrow's concubine and beloved, and there is no mention of her homeland or origin, but in sources of the first category and contemporaneous with Khosrow and historical Shirin, such as the Syrian Chronicle, the history of Sabeus, the history of Theophylact of Simukata, Shirin of Khuzestan. And the southwestern areas of Iranshahr have been known as the Sassanid era or Mian-Rodan. But why Shirin, who in the historical narratives was from the south-west of Iran or Khuzestan, and in the narratives of the Aran region, was transformed into an Armenian prince, arose from several background and historical reasons: 1) the narrators of this story were from this region and They have made him theirs; 2) Khosroparviz lived in Barda and Azerbaijan at a historical moment and his memory remained in that place; 3) Shirin himself was a Christian and co-religionist of Armenians; 4) There is a possibility of confusion between a place called "Beit-Aramaye" and "Armen" and the substitution of Armenian descent instead of Aramaic descent for Shirin. Therefore, the storytellers of Eran and Armenia have moved him there to create identity and identity.
