This study aimed to identify The impact of using computer on seventh
grade student’s academic achievement in science course. To achieve this goal
experimental design was used in this study. The sample of the study consisted of
(50) female students were distributed into experimental group (25) students who
were taught the:selected-unit:by using computer, and control -group (25) students
who were taught selected unit through conventional or traditional way. The
researchers have designed achievement test consisted of (40) multiple-choice
items. This test was applied on both groups as pre-test and post-test.
, The results of the study revealed that there were no significant statistical
differences between experimental group and control group on pre-test. While there
were significant statistical differences between experimental group and control
group on post-test in favor of experimental group. In other words the using
computer in teaching selected unit has positive impact on student’s academic
achievement compare with traditional way of teaching. Finally, the researchers
recommended that the necessity to activate the computerized program that are
available on the Ministry of Education site.
