Introduction: Today, the prevalence of risky behaviors among young people has become one of
the most important and widespread concerns of human societies. Alcohol consumption, abuse of
stimulants and high-risk sexual behaviors (AIDS) therefore, researchers conducted a research with
the aim of determining the improvement of the health level of young girls by teaching prevention
methods of high-risk sexual behaviors in AIDS at Urmia University of Medical Sciences in 2015.
They gave .
Materials and methods: The current research is a semi-experimental study that was conducted with
the aim of the effect of training (before and after). The samples of this research were 300 qualified
female students studying in nursing and midwifery, health and paramedical faculties who were
selected randomly. Data collection was done through a questionnaire, the first part of which was
related to demographic characteristics and the second part was related to sexually risky behaviors
in AIDS. Scientific reliability and validity of the tool was done by means of content validity and
reliability through retesting. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data.
Findings: According to the findings of the research, the average knowledge about how to prevent
sexually risky behaviors in AIDS before training is equal to 64.70 and after training is equal to
71.24 and the average difference is about 6.53. . To check the mean difference, the paired t -test
was used, and with (P>0.05, df=21 and t=-10.33), it can be said that the difference is significant
and that education plays a role in preventing sexual risky behaviors.
Discussion and conclusion: The findings of this research showed that there is a significant
relationship between gaining awareness about AIDS and high-risk sexual behaviors, so it seems
that gaining awareness and acquiring skills to prevent high-risk behaviors in schools and
universities can It will reduce risky sexual behaviors and will be an effective help in maintaining
the health of young people.
