The purpose of this study was to the comparison effectiveness of matrix and neurofeedback treatments on difficulty in cognitive emotion regulation and craving in amphetamine dependents individuals. The statistical population of this study included all amphetamine dependents individuals who referred to Golestan hospital of Ahvaz in year 2019, using a targeted sampling method, 60 of them were selected and randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group (each group of 20 person). To collect data cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire and craving. This quasi-experimental study was conducted with a pretest-posttest design with control group. The experimental groups underwent matrix treatment (24 sessions 50 minutes) and neurofeedback treatment (20 sessions 30 minutes), but the control group received no treatments. Data were analysed using Covariance Analysis. The results showed that matrix and neurofeedback treatments was effective to decrease difficulty in cognitive emotion regulation and craving in amphetamine dependents individuals. Also, the results showed that matrix had a greater effect than neurofeedback treatments on decrease difficulty in cognitive emotion regulation and craving in amphetamine dependents individuals. It seems that the matrix model is a non-pharmacological and outpatient treatment method for dependence on amphetamine consumption, but considering that the present study was performed among amphetamine-dependent people referring to Golestan Hospital in Ahvaz, the generalization of the results should be done with caution.
