چکیده:
New development patterns are based on the development of tourism and the use of spatial-spatial diversity. Therefore, identifying the capacities and potentials of different geographical spaces is at the center of attention of development planners to attract capital and investment. In this regard, the aim of the present research is to assess the feasibility of the investment horizon of tourism areas with emphasis on West Azerbaijan province. The type of research is applied and its research method is descriptive-analytical, and the hierarchical analysis process, GIS and Tile index have been used for spatial data analysis. The results of the research show that of all tourism areas, about 12.45% have a national and international investment horizon and about 18.68% have a national and local investment horizon. Also, about 17.45% of all tourism areas are relatively suitable and have a local investment horizon. Also, from the point of view of experts, the factors affecting the investment horizon of tourism resources have different importance (Tile index equal to 0.55) and areas adjacent to criteria such as city, infrastructure and urban services have a greater horizon compared to other areas.

The results of spatial analysis of tourism areas with investment potential based on the criterion of distribution and density of rural and urban population are presented in the table below.
According to the results of expert opinion analysis, the most important criterion influencing tourism investment is the geographical isolation of tourist areas from urban points, urban services and infrastructure networks.
