چکیده:
Palestinian resistance poetry has symbolic and mythical functions. These functions, by their nature, are lasting and possess extra-local and extra-temporal characteristics. Symbol and myth have played a deep role in the semantic and imagery creation of Palestinian poetry, and these two literary qualities have made them be considered effectively in the mechanism of poetry. Zeinab Habash has left a valuable legacy in the field of Palestinian resistance poetry by creating various poems that have significantly used myth and symbol as the most important indicators of this literary genre. The present research, using a descriptive-analytical method, analyzes the symbols and myths used by the poet. The findings of the research show that the author has divided the symbols and myths into six areas: natural, positive personal, negative personal, animal, spatial, and others, which have various connotations including peace, freedom, resistance, martyr, fighters, land, and enemy. This reveals the richness of the poet's thought and her appropriate use of linguistic and literary capacities.

3- Symbol and Myth in the Poetry of Zeinab Habash In this section, we will explain the meanings of each element, using the method of dividing themes into six areas: natural, personal positive and negative, animal, spatial, and others.
3-4- Animal Symbols and Myths Animal names in Zeinab Habash’s poems have diverse connotations, often including peace, greatness, victory, defeat, awakening, uprising, Palestinian migrants, and the enemy.
3-5- Spatial Symbol In portraying the pains and misfortunes of the Palestinian people and expressing the past and present situation of this land, Zeinab Habash uses the names of cities as innovative symbols.
Spatial symbols in Zeinab Habash’s poems refer to Palestine, the resistance movement, Zionist crimes, and the displacement of the people.
