چکیده:
Seyed Javad Tabatabais project understand regardless of the concept of "tradition" is not possible. Tradition in Tabatabais view is the consciousness of Iranian man and thinking is not possible without the Tradition. With induration and decline of Tradition, ideology replaced thinking and only by adopting new consciousness position the decline of thought can be found and induration of Tradition resolve.
خلاصه ماشینی:
In this research, we strive to examine the Iranian concept of “Tradition” from the perspective of Seyyed Javad Tabatabaei using the theoretical framework of Hegel’s “consciousness”, and to propose the hypothesis that the formation of the concept of “Tradition” in the thought and works of Javad Tabatabaei is due to the “appropriation” of the theoretical possibility of the philosophy of “consciousness” in Western thought, considering the requirements of the historical continuity of Iran.
From the perspective of the present research, Tabatabaei considers awareness of the course of national “consciousness” as a prerequisite for formulating a theory for Iranian “Tradition”, because “consciousness” is the theoretical possibility of understanding the category of historical “continuity”.
Based on this, we strive to use the theoretical framework of “consciousness” to outline the philosophical foundation of the category of historical “continuity”, and to cast a light from this perspective on the concept of “Tradition” in Tabatabaei’s thought; a “Tradition” that is the product of the Iranian human being’s “consciousness” of itself in the course of history.
Reflecting on history and the history of thought in Iran from the perspective of national “awareness”, testing the category of “awareness” against Iranian historical and intellectual materials, is applying, with “appropriation”, the theoretical possibilities of Western thought to rediscover “tradition”.
Considering that from the perspective of the philosophy of “awareness”, the existence of “the other” is vital in the formation of the unity of “self”, the proposal of “Iran-shahr thought” during the period of Arab domination and the caliphate system explains the continuity of “awareness” of the Iranian human being of himself in “otherness” (Tabatabaei, 1389: 153).
