This article critically examines dimensions of Wittgenstein's philosophy that have made this philosophy desirable and attractive to social science scholars. It will be argued that although some researchers in various fields of social sciences find Wittgenstein's later philosophy useful, and despite the fact that Wittgenstein's insights into social matters are very helpful, his approach as a whole suffers from serious flaws. The overall impact of these conceptual flaws is to endanger the objectivity of social sciences and the value of research.

” This view of the use of words and the rules of language, as mentioned in the text, was abandoned in the second period of Wittgenstein’s Philosophical Investigations, along with the belief that language has a unique essence and core that is manifested in its logical structure and reflects the structure of the world, and a new meaning was proposed for usage, based on which a new model was presented regarding how signs and linguistic expressions become meaningful.
