( 1 ) Aban narrates from Imam al-Sadiq (علیه السلام) as follows: Performing prayer in Masjid al-Ghadir is recommended, because the Prophet (صلی الله علیه وآله وسلّم) established the Commander of the Faithful (علیه السلام) there (and introduced him to the people as his successor), and that is the very place where Allah, the Truth, made the Truth manifest.
(3) 3 ـ Ibn Idris (died 598 AH) writes: When a person travels from Mecca towards Medina for the purpose of visiting the Prophet (صلی الله علیه وآله وسلّم), as soon as they reach Masjid al-Ghadir, they should enter it and perform two rak'ahs of prayer.
(4) 4 ـ Yahya ibn Sa'id (died 690 AH) says: When pilgrims travel from Mecca towards Medina for the purpose of visiting the Prophet (صلی الله علیه وآله وسلّم), once they reach Masjid al-Ghadir, they should enter it and perform prayer there.
( 4 ) 8 ـ Sheikh Yusuf Bahrani (died 1186 AH) writes: It is recommended for someone who intends to go to Medina al-Munawwarah to pass by Masjid al-Ghadir, enter the mosque, perform prayer there, and supplicate much, because that mosque is the very place where the Noble Prophet (صلی الله علیه وآله وسلّم) explicitly declared the imamate and caliphate of the Commander of the Faithful (علیه السلام) after himself.
211 140 10 ـ The late author of Jawahir (died 1266 AH) writes: It is recommended for someone who returns from Mecca to Medina to perform prayer in Masjid Ghadir Khumm and supplicate much, and that place is the very location where the Messenger of Allah (صلی الله علیه وآله وسلّم) introduced the Commander of the Faithful (علیه السلام) as his successor.
