چکیده:
Hadith, in its own history, has experienced numerous calamities, the most significant of which is the nefarious phenomenon of fabrication. Hadith scholars have presented different theories regarding the beginning of this wicked movement; among these, dating the fourth decade of the Hijri era as the time period for the start of Hadith fabrication has been emphasized by most Sunni scholars through two theories: one group identifies the second half of the Caliphate of Uthman, and another group identifies the year 40 or 41 AH as the beginning of Hadith forgery. An examination of the evidence for these theories indicates that, in addition to the flaws inherent in each theory individually, none of these theories have the capacity to negate the existence of Hadith forgery before the fourth decade. Furthermore, there are numerous narrations in the books of both sects indicating the existence of Hadith forgery during the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and his prohibition of this nefarious phenomenon. Consequently, it appears that the beginning of Hadith forgery occurred during the lifetime of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), although the emergence and manifestation of this phenomenon was later than this time.
