چکیده:
Discourse on knowledge in the realm of philosophy takes two general forms: ontology and epistemology. This writing, which claims to address the investigation of knowledge in the works of His Eminence the Imam (RA), is not intended to distinguish between these two realms, but rather to briefly explain generalities in the field of knowledge and its impact on the Imam's educational philosophy. Issues such as the nature of knowledge and its definition, types of knowledge, and the conditions for attaining beneficial knowledge form the general framework of this article. The various divisions made for science, such as acquisitive and presential knowledge, theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as divisions corresponding to the existential dimensions of humans, continue this writing. Explaining the conditions for the usefulness of science—which includes the necessity of accompanying science with humility and self-purification, the internalization of sciences and teachings, and excellence in action—are among the other topics addressed, and finally, the educational philosophy derived from these topics is introduced.

In the Imam's view, the philosophy of many acts of worship and Sharia commands is actually the attainment of these مقدمات (preludes): "All formal acts and psychological ethics are a مقدمة (prelude) to divine knowledges, and those are also a مقدمة (prelude) to the reality of Tawhid and uniqueness, which is the ultimate goal of the human journey and the final end of the mystical path" (Imam Khomeini, Sharh Hadith Junud al-Aql wa al-Jahl, pp.
Therefore, the main characteristics of the educational program derived from the perspective of Imam Khomeini (RA) can be stated as follows: - This approach places great emphasis on teacher activities and creating suitable environments for learning, and what ought to be learned is defined within the scope of self-recognition and the acquisition of knowledge by the individual (learner).
