چکیده:
The present writing consists of three parts: The first part deals with a report on the trend of approximation in the Levant (Syria, Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon) and Iran, emphasizing the indivisibility of the religion of Islam and unity. The effects of sectarianism, its origins, and the prevailing atmosphere in Islamic environments over the past fifty years, as well as expressing points and examples of the awareness of the people of Syria and Iran and their deep perspective regarding the preservation of national unity, are among the other discussions of this section. The second part is dedicated to expressing the most important manifestations of the approximation trend in the Levant. Some of these manifestations include: mutual friendship and affection, activating good cooperation between Sunni and Shia scholars, prohibiting the publication or printing of all books containing insults to followers of other sects, the impermissibility of broadcasting content that fuels controversial issues, condemning any labeling of takfir (excommunication) and misguidance against followers of different sects, encouraging comparative studies of jurisprudence and creed, joint cultural activities between Sunni or Shia scholars, leaving the judgment of servants to God, and the existence of affection for the Ahl al-Bayt among Muslims, whether Shia or Sunni. In the third part, observations regarding the strategy for approximating Islamic sects are stated, and recommendations are made on items such as: striving towards generalizing the culture of dialogue, the necessity of having scientific positions and centers and branches in Islamic lands for approximation, expanding the scope of publication and distribution of the journal of approximation of sects (Al-Taqrib), the necessity of prioritizing the factors for achieving the unity of the Islamic Ummah and employing all possibilities and capabilities of the Ummah to repel the aggression of enemies, and the obligation to issue a declaration banning any religious propaganda activities. In conclusion, by adhering to the verse (Indeed, this Ummah of yours is one Ummah...), it is requested that the fundamental and inviolable slogan of the thought of approximation be acting upon the essence of this verse.

All these countries, despite the sometimes large distances between their borders or their proximity to one another, have, praise be to God, reached the definite understanding that Islam is not a divisible religion; its principles and branches, as well as its theoretical, historical, geographical, cultural, and educational positions, are one, and the rite of intellectual and practical unity is the common and prevailing practice in the Islamic sphere; even if failed sectarian groups and tendencies are found that attempt to spread division among followers of different sects, incite religious wars, and fall into the abyss of bloodshed, slander, or passivity mixed with mob-like emotions and things that might lead to the shedding of precious blood, destruction, or the setting fire to Islamic places or mosques.
