Today it is not possible to ignore simply the phenomenon of takfir. This article, firstly, aims to examine the positions of Islam and the position of the prophetic tradition against the takfiri thinking, and then the characteristics and origin of their beliefs. After analyzing its characteristics, it should be presented to the tradition of the holy Prophet in order to clarify the status of this phenomenon in relation to the Sunnah. The importance of this article is due to introducing the phenomenon to the audience as much as possible using reliable and acceptable sources .

It is sufficient to refer only to some Prophetic narrations to prove the necessity of unity and the avoidance of division, we have, including that: As said by His Holiness (PBUH): « بندگان خدا!
ـ Since the very act of entering into conflict is considered contrary to the Quran and the life and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), it is certain that the sin of those who initiate bloody division among Muslims and create deep conflicts among their various groups is very great.
